Free Practice Exams for UK Student Nurses

Self-marking nursing practice questions for revision, confidence-building and identifying gaps before university exams, simulations or placement.

Why use practice questions?

Practice questions can help student nurses move beyond passively re-reading notes. They give you a chance to retrieve knowledge, identify weak areas and revisit the reasoning behind each answer.

These free practice exams cover pharmacology , drug calculations, wound care, clinical reasoning and core adult-nursing topics. Each exam includes explanations to help you understand the thinking behind the answer—not simply whether you were right or wrong.

Use the exams as part of your wider revision plan, alongside university teaching, required reading, current national guidance and local clinical policy. The questions shuffle when you restart, so you can return to them as often as useful.

Revision tip: Retrieval practice—testing yourself and reviewing feedback—is a well-established learning approach. Use your results to identify topics to revisit, then return to the questions after further study.
